Are there affordable rental opportunities available through your organization? Our organization focuses on creating affordable homeownership opportunities for low and moderate first-time homebuyers. Please visit NYC Housing Rental Lotteries  via NYC Housing Connect 2.0 to access information regarding affordable rental opportunities available through the City’s housing lottery.

 

Is it possible to submit a homebuyer application via electronically? Yes! We encourage you to create a profile in NYC Housing Connect 2.0  as affordable homes are available via the City housing lottery. Below, please find the steps and link for Housing Connect 2.0

  • Create a profile and make sure the information about your household is complete, accurate and up to date on Housing Connect
  • Go to “Open Lotteries” to see what is currently accepting applications.
  • Check the details to see if your household size, income, and assets meet the program requirements.
  • Click “Apply” before the application deadline date.

What factors are considered in evaluating a homebuyer application? Each homeownership program has specific program requirements and qualifications. The criteria vary for each homeownership opportunity and are detailed within the advertisement.

 

I previously applied and submitted a homebuyer application. Can the previous application be used or do I need to apply and submit a new application? An application for a homeownership opportunity is program-specific and a new application is necessary.

 

How many homebuyer applications can be submitted? One application per development and per Household can be submitted.
